Terms and Conditions

  • Register and pay securely online at www.dohakac.com or pay in person at Katara Art Center between 10 am 6pm on workdays (from Saturday to Thursday).

  • Registration generally closes one week prior to the respective classes starting. However, registration continues until courses sell out.

  • Seats are limited and can only be reserved with full payment.

  • Courses require a minimum participant number, which varies according to the courses. Katara Art Center reserves the right to cancel classes when no enough participants registered or in case of unforeseen circumstances prior to the actual start of classes. Already paid fees will be refunded in that case.

  • Two days prior to your class starting, you will receive an email from Katara Art Center confirming your course or updating you on the status of the course, in addition we will also enclose your invoice.

  • Materials provided by the instructors are only for sessions intended.Give aways are Instructor’s discretions.

  • Please buy your materials only after Katara Art Center has confirmed your class.Materials to be bought are indicated in each classes posters.

  • Should a course be canceled, you can either switch to another still available course, keep the credit for the next program or request a refund.


Refunds

  • Refunds are only provided if requested a minimum one week prior to a given program starting date (unless a course is canceled from Katara Art Center’s side).

  • Katara Art Center does not provide refunds in cash. All refunds will be processed either through back booking if you have used the online registration option with a credit card / PayPal or through a direct bank deposit into your local bank account

  • Even though we process refunds within 24 hours, credit card refunds may take up to one month from the last date of classes

  • An admin fee of $10-$20 is usually charged for refunds.

  • Course transfers (transferring payment to the next season) are only permitted a week prior to the course start date. Payment can only be transferred once. 


Certificates

  • Certificates for the programs will be handed out during the last class to students who have attended at least 80% of the classes

  • Certificates will be available thereafter to these students for four weeks only at Katara Art Center.

  • This program only offers attendance certificates. 

General

  • Katara Art Center is a hub that gives opportunity for local and resident artist to showcase their talents and for learning.

  • Classes are open to both male and female participants over the age of 15, unless otherwise stated

  • Unless otherwise noted, classes are taught in English

  • All communication is generally done via email – a valid email address must be made available to Katara Art Center at the time of registration

  • Images of course work prepared in, or for a class delivered at Katara Art Center, may be used for educational or promotional materials such as: Katara Art Center websites and promotional campaigns.

Health and Safety

  • Equipment and supplies used in Katara Art Center Classes can represent a hazard if misused.

  • The instructor will inform students in the proper safety procedures and the proper use of tools and equipment throughout the class.

  • Students are expected to abide by these safety regulations and to incorporate health and safety procedures into their art making processes while working in art studios.
